PUGNACIOUS PUSSY ON THE RUN!

Fretful Freddie licks wounds.

Young Freddie McFeline of Crystal Beach was the victim of an assault this past weekend. The perpetrator known to authorities only as the Pugnacious Pussy fled the scene.  Freddie sought medical attention for puncture wounds and tattered ears.  Owner GiGi worries, "How can Freddie ever be safe in the neighbourhood again ?"

Constable Tiger Stripes comments "As too often happens, the bully disappears as soon as the fight is over.   His MO is all too common consequently we have a heck of a time IDing him.

Detective Catrine Longhair says there is a strong indication they are dealing with a repeat offender.

Feline psychologist Lyn X. North warns, "This type misbehaviour is hard to identify by owners. Typically the cat-o-path hides behind a purring, relaxed demeanor that takes a profession to unmask."

GiGi fears Freddie may be scarred by the beating and hopes law enforcement will save other cats from the same trauma.  When the perpetrator is apprehended, a civil suit to claim vet bills may ensue.  In the meanwhile, local cat owners are asked to check under their kitty fellas' claws for signs of struggle.

(with thanks to one of Freddie's fans!)
